Im not sure what you mean about "shadow ", but this is the way we do it in Hapkido. Use same side leg, so if your gonna trip his left leg, do it with your left leg. The leg is 50% of the opponent balance. Naturaly your adversary will displace his body to gain balance, so that is were your arm comes into place. You will use the same side arm, so left in this case to grab your opponent's shoulder, gi, shirt, whatever to diagonally push/ pull him/ her to the floor. Again: Left hand on his/ her left shoulder. Left leg trips his/ her left leg - at the same time, left hand diagonaly pushes him to his back/ down, left side. This prevents him/ her using his/ her right leg for support. |
