Should I do Muay Thai kickboxing or BJJ?
I tried out bjj and I loved it, but I don't really like that it takes 10 years to get a black belt. I know it's about the journey rather then the belt but being a black belt is nice too. But the main thing I wanted to do martial arts for is to lose a bit of weight since I have a 20 BMI which is okay but I want a more athletic body I used to have,and get in better shape I'm in pretty good shape thought. Everyone told me that Muay Thai Kickboxing would get me in better shape, so I'm having a hard time picking. Plus for the one lesson in bjj I went to we only did like 20 sets of around 7 different exercises, and we repeated some for 15 minutes. The class was more about technique rather then exercise. maybe it wasn't that intense just for the one class I went to, since my bro went to a kickboxing class and the day after he was really sore, I wasn't even sore.So which one do you think I should chose? I really like bjj and I love grappling ground work, but I also want to get in really good shape.Btw don't recommend cross train or check out different schools. HI I'm a 14 year old girl and I'm quite fit sport not looks lol and I want to start a karate class but I am a beginner and I hit like a girl so I was wondering if I should start kickboxing first and then when I'm a bit better I start the class or should I just go straight on to karate. Btw the kickboxing is for 14 16 year olds. Also, I am treating this as an oppurtunity to make friends outside of school cos I only know people in school, so should I bring a friend or go on my own. I am V. V. shy so I don't want to be a loser on my own but I also don't want to JUST talk to my friend. What do you think? Thanks

Carl Browne, 177 cm, 62 kg, Southpaw,I have been training in Muay thai for four years now and i am not getting anywhere with it, I would just really like to know how to get into competitions and win trophys, I live in a small town where not much stuff happens, there are no comps here just muay thai classes, I've been in many street fights most above my weight and am still undefeated. Can i get fit for a 10k obstacle run and finish with a good time from training just kickboxing and no running?
im runnin the mens health survival of the fittest 10k obstacle course in the UK in october for charity, the problem is i hate running. i currently train in kickboxing and dont really want to do a lot of long distance running because it will take away from my explosiveness. if i carry on training kickboxing and do like 10 15 rounds on the heavy bag in my spare time will this be enough to get me fit or will i have to do road work???

no offense to fans of bruce lee actually, who isn't a fan of lee? but this is a kickboxing match, not an MMA or street fight. 12 rounds, kicks above the waist, and i don't think anyone defeats a prime Bill Wallace he outweighs lee by maybe 40 pounds, and wallace likely would land just too many kicks, and remember, wallace had a pretty good left hook also.
Kickboxing classes for teen girls in Singapore?
I am a 14 year old girl and i want to start kickboxing classes so i can become fitter and stonger. But the probem is that i cant find anywhere for my age. Do any of you know where there are kickboxing classes for girls my age in Singapore? The only places i could find classes were in gyms. But then you have to become a member and to become a member you have to be over 18 I actually wouldnt mind having classes with adult women but i cant find anything. Do you guys know any places in Singapore?? Thanks in advance
