How would you market a karate school?
how would you market a martial art school that is in a private home. te dojo is fully equipped, the floor is padded nd so is the wall, the classe are small, no more then 6 students?? thank you

Hey so Im doing an investigation, and I have had no help with that alleged " expert on martial arts fraud" website bullshido. So I am an enthusiast myself, but I hate these mcdojos and i want to stop them so I am doing an investigative short film. But I need to know, so I can show the worst, what is the wost mcdojang in all america? Im talking totally franchised, Bob Jackson, " heres 300 bucks now let me test for black belt" fradulent school that shouldnt even exist in your nightmares. I love martial arts and im not to picky about what i have to be offered. But im not looking for those 30 minute sessions where the instructor is a first degree black belt that earned it in 3 months. I was banned from a karate school?
i told the guys that i wanted to return my uniform when it was still in the bag and i had the receipt... and they said no... so i told them i thought they were supposed to be about honor and integrity not greed and money.. they followed my statement by getting mad and pretty much saying I don't know what honor and integrity is so i will never be able to come back hahahahaha.. what are your thoughts on this?In addition.. i had not signed the contract.. all i had paid for was the uniform... i could not attend because my new school schedule had interferedmy definition of honor One who honors my situation and adheres to what is right and returns my money

This is weired its went i went to karate school and look at this big mirror?
when i went to karate school for the first day there was this big wide mirror for people to see there reflections when i took alook at the mirror in the first day my body look like a skeleton and my body look really bony and i was wearing my karate uniform and i could still see my really bony skeleton body but in the second day i look at the big wide mirror in the karate school and when i look at my reflection i look fat and my bony skeleton body wasnt showing and there was no lighting somebody give me awnser im thinking im demon possessed because this is happening

Does this sound like a good karate school?
It is shotokan karate and the instructor said if I sign a 12 month contract he will guarantee me a black belt by the end of the contract? He said he would dedicate a lot of time to teaching me directly with one on one tuition because the school is small. What do you guys think? Am I right to think this sounds fishy? thanks in advance for your help
How bad karate schools are created?
Recently I have seen a 12 year old kid and his father open a karate school. Both have been training for around 5 years and they just received their " black belts" and immediately opened a school. Is this OK or does this create bad " american" martial arts?

Im new to training and want to practise in a good school. I have been informed that there are one or two near to but need advice on how and where to practise. It would be especially great if the school had wooden dummies or a martialarm to train on.
